DPDC

Adaptive reuse is becoming increasingly important in shaping the future of digital infrastructure. Kilograph partnered with DP Data Centers to develop the brand and website for their Downtown Los Angeles facility at 818 W. 7th Street, demonstrating how existing urban buildings can be transformed to meet rising demand for connectivity and colocation.

We created a brand that honors the building’s legacy while reflecting its evolving role in LA’s tech ecosystem—showing that adaptive reuse is not just architectural, but a strategic approach to supporting next-generation infrastructure.

The concept is rooted in translating the functional nature of the data center into a clear and confident expression. Drawing from both the structured environment of the data hall and the constant movement of information, the direction balances order and energy to reflect how the facility operates.

At the same time, inspiration from the 818 7th Street building introduces a sense of permanence and character, grounding the system in something more human and familiar. The result is a brand that feels professional, reliable, and approachable—communicating performance and purpose without relying on overly technical cues.

The website translates the concept into a streamlined digital experience, where clarity and structure guide every interaction. Information is presented in a logical, easy-to-navigate way, reinforcing performance, reliability, and a frictionless user journey.
